LEADERS SPAR OVER PEACE PATH

DALLAS — Three prominent Jewish leaders at a weekend forum here
proposed divergent paths toward Israeli-Palestinian peace, with one
of them even rejecting negotiations on the grounds that the
Palestinian Hamas Party is comparable to World War II Nazis.
But the leaders agreed that prospects of negotiating an end to the
conflict in the near term are slim at best.
“Peace is not on the immediate horizon. It may be another generation
down the pipeline,” declared Rabbi Andrew Davids, executive director
of the Association of Reform Zionists of America.
