The American Jewish
Congress is a membership association, organized to defend Jewish and
American interests at home and abroad, through public policy
advocacy in the courts, Congress, the executive branch, and state
and local governments. We have always recognized the importance of
preserving the human and civil rights of all Americans as defined by
the Constitution, including the free exercise of all religions and
the separation of religion and state.
Another key component of
the American Jewish Congress agenda is strengthening the unique,
historic and mutually beneficial relationship between the USA and
our ally Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East.
